- FranNet Carolina to host an interactive workshop on business ownership for downsized corporate employees - “From corporate employment to business ownership”
Downsized corporate employees contemplating business ownership either by starting a business, buying a business or buying a franchise will have an opportunity to learn from several small business experts as well as representatives from several top franchise companies at an upcoming September workshop.
The event will take place from 12:30 noon to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23rd at Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, NC.
It is expected to draw attendees from North and South Carolina. Attendees will be able to listen to presentations on:
- Traditional and alternative forms of business financing in a tight credit environment
- Legal considerations and options for starting or buying a business
- Making the transition to business ownership through franchising
In addition, several fast growing franchise companies that are expanding into the Carolinas will make short presentations and provide information about their franchise opportunities.
Presentations will be made by:
- SBA – Small Business Administration
- SCORE – Service Corp of Retired Executives
- Benetrends – The nation’s foremost authority on funding business purchases using retirement plans…tax deferred and penalty free
- Bishop Dulaney and Joyner – A charlotte law firm that works primarily with business owners, entrepreneurs and investors.
- FranNet – A franchise consulting firm specializing in matching candidates with franchises
A local business insurance company, a business coach and several current franchise owners will also be on hand to answer questions. Attendees will have ample opportunity to interact with these small business experts and get answers to questions regarding business start-ups and purchases.
The event is being sponsored by FranNet Carolina, a local franchise consulting organization that specializes in matching would be business owners with franchise companies.
