Richard Battle joins accounting firm’s tax services group

CHARLOTTE – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting and business advisory firms in the Southeast, recently named Richard Battle as senior manager of the Charlotte location’s tax services group.  Battle relocated to Charlotte from the company’s Greenville, S.C. office and will provide tax planning and compliance services to manufacturing and distribution companies with multi-state and international operations.

Battle has more than eight years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services, including six years with BDO Seidman, LLP in Greensboro, N.C.  With an extensive background in the corporate, partnership and individual income tax return reporting areas, Battle also brings experience with complex issues surrounding mergers and acquisitions, consolidated filings, economic incentives, state and local taxation, inventory capitalization rules, federal and state controversies, tax provisions and other FAS 109 reporting matters.

Certified as a public accountant in North Carolina and South Carolina, Battle is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
